    **The role can be based in any location with Cabot facilities in EMEA**


    We are looking for a Senior Product Line Engineer, who will be part of the Technology and Process Optimization Team (TPOT) belonging to the Manufacturing Excellence group (MEG) within Reinforcement Materials business segment. The MEG is striving for performance improvement and is aiming world class performance, achieving excellence in all manufacturing disciplines. The MEG resources allocated around the 5 pillars (Technology & Process Optimization, Asset Reliability, Quality & Service, Energy Efficiency and Automation) will run continuous improving across plants and regions. The team will drive the strategy for functional improvement, monitor progress, support the plants to close the gaps and achieve improvements, resolve technical challenges and finally, develop a global technical network within Cabot. The Senior Product Line Engineer will be a substantial member of TPOT and along other colleagues will drive excellence in the organization.


    The Senior Product Line Engineer will lead the development and implementation of key manufacturing and product improvement initiatives. He/she will serve as primary implementation resource to address the plant objectives aimed at improved products, operations, costs and quality, that support the goals of the plant/business/division. The incumbent will serve as expert for raw material cost and quality improvements, feedstock optimization and technology introduction partnering with R&D, plants, regions and business to achieve RM strategy, and will provide broad technical support to all RM plants around the world.

    Job Responsibilities/Náplň práce

    • Provides technical leadership to the facility for problem solving and troubleshooting as it pertains to specific product lines.
    • Ensures appropriate systems are in place to initiate, modify, review and communicate manufacturing specifications in line with customer requirements and machine capability. Works closely with businesses, manufacturing, marketing and technical support groups. 
    • Serves as lead developer of implementation plans to achieve plant objectives, transfer of technology, best practices, quality improvements, and other improvement efforts.
    • Ensures that appropriate procedures are in place to maintain the integrity of the manufacturing and management of change processes, including formulation changes, change of technical specification, new products/materials in production, and engineering changes.
    • Plans product line capital investment projects linked to capability/capacity up to completion.
    • Reviews processes and procedures on units looking for product uniformity and reduced off quality generation opportunities.


    • Technical knowledge of process and product technology
    • Familiarity with Recipe (TRIS / MOC) Management
    • Knowledge of Plant Operations Condition Monitoring
    • Bachelors or Masters degree in engineering preferably Chemical Engineering
    • Minimum of 10 years experience in chemical manufacturing or process development
    • Thorough experience working with carbon black
    • Fluent English language skills
